Sky Studies is an ongoing collection of original watercolors exploring the ever-changing conversation between cloud, light, horizon, and open space. Inspired by the Sonoran Desert, these paintings are less concerned with documenting a place than with capturing the feeling of standing beneath an expansive sky.

Each composition distills the landscape into its simplest elements—cloud, color, earth, and breath. Together, they become quiet invitations to pause, to notice, and to remember that stillness is its own form of abundance.

Created in layered washes and softened edges, Sky Studies reflects Studio NEWHAUS's belief that home is more than the walls around us. It is also the landscape that shapes us and the moments that return us to ourselves.
